Set to take place in the Company's Garden from Thursday, 9 April to Sunday, 12 April, LUMENOCITY aims to transform the city into an open-air gallery of light, featuring installations, projection mapping and interactive works by leading local artists.

Through this partnership, Kfm 94.5 will play a central role in amplifying the festival across the Western Cape — aiming to connect audiences to the experience through not only live reads but on-air storytelling, presenter integration, ticket giveaways and live broadcasts from the festival itself, says the festival.

A Cultural Moment for Cape Town

More than just an event, LUMENOCITY aims to be a bold cultural statement, positioning Cape Town alongside global immersive light festivals, while celebrating creativity, technology and public space, says the festival.

"Kfm 94.5 has always been about connecting Cape Town through shared moments, and LUMENOCITY is exactly that. It's creative, it's accessible, and it brings people together in a truly unique way. We're proud to be part of something that will light up the city and inspire our audience," says Hennie Myburgh, Station Manager of Kfm 94.5.

"At its core, LUMENOCITY is about bringing people into shared spaces in new ways. Kfm 94.5 understands this city and its audience deeply, and this partnership allows us to build something that feels both ambitious and accessible at the same time," says Gareth Hadden, Founder of LUMENOCITY.

Lighting Up The Mother City

The partnership aims to reflect a strategic collaboration between media, culture and brand — with CSA and dentsu X playing key roles in helping shape and deliver the platform.

"This partnership is about more than visibility — it's about cultural relevance. Kfm 94.5 gives LUMENOCITY a powerful voice in the city, helping to bring the experience into people's daily lives and build real anticipation ahead of opening night," says Davin Phillips, Executive Director at CSA.

"LUMENOCITY was created to reimagine how people experience Cape Town after dark. Partnering with Kfm 94.5 allows us to extend that vision beyond the physical installations — into homes, cars and conversations across the city. It's about creating that shared cultural moment," says Marcel Swain, MD of dentsu X.

With Kfm 94.5 onboard, LUMENOCITY says it aims to deepen its connection with Cape Town, inviting residents and visitors alike to step into a world where light becomes art, and the city itself becomes the canvas.
