Having recently partnered with Justpalm.com, who is the award's official streaming partner, the award says that it has made full use of their social media broadcasting studio Justpalm.tv. This has resulted in the dawn of New Gen TV.

The awards say that over the next three shows, it aims to unpack tips from some of 2020's judges, including:
  • the do's and don'ts when submitting entries
  • customising entries to specific categories
  • who and why you should enter, and
  • the basic fundamentals that you need to know before completing your entry forms.
The awards have provided the tips so that applicants can set themselves apart from other applicants. The TV show will also speak to some of 2019's winning agencies about some of the ways that they made their entries stand-out.

Entries for 2020's awards close on Friday, 24 July. Individuals can view the first episode of New Gen TV here:


New Gen TV will broadcast online across the following New Generation Awards and Justpalm.tv, social and digital media platforms. The awards have indicated that entries are open to South African:
  • media agencies
  • corporate companies
  • private institutions
  • government bodies
  • stand-out individuals
  • bloggers 
  • vloggers
  • creatives
  • developers, and
  • registered students.
Anu party who has a winning campaign, designed a new website, developed a new App or who his an 'outstanding' individual within their organisation is encouraged to get in touch with the awards.

To enter, individuals are encouraged to visit www.newgenawards.co.za. The entry forms can be found and downloaded under each of the respective categories. Entries are not submitted online.

Once completed, entries can be emailed to [email protected], along with supporting documentation to back up the entry.

2020's virtual awards ceremony will be streamed in early September on social and digital media and through various media partners' online platforms. The awards show will last about 90 minutes and will contain live entertainment from a few surprise South African acts.

The awards have announced that media update is an official media partner of the 2020 New Generation Awards.
